Why doesn’t my RITM Flow start? | Service Catalog Request Workflow | REQ Flow

Have you ever created a Catalog Item Flow in ServiceNow’s Flow Designer, only to find that it won’t start or trigger when you really need it to? It can be frustrating, but don’t worry – you’re not alone. In this video, we’ll explore the common reason why this happens and discuss a couple of ways to fix it.

The issue often lies with the parent REQ not being approved. This logic is found in a “legacy” flow called the “Service Catalog Request” workflow on the sc_request table. But don’t worry, there’s a solution! We can recreate that functionality in Flow and deactivate the “legacy” flow for a more streamlined, efficient approach. So if you’re having trouble getting your Catalogue Item Flow to work, give this a watch and see if it helps.
